About
Moral injury – initially noted in defence veterans – we now know affects many people – ambulance, police, other first responders, lawyers, veterinarians and more recently allied healthcare workers during the COVID 19 pandemic. The effects of moral injury can be lifelong, and include feelings of betrayal, loss of trust, guilt, shame, anger, sadness, anxiety; and can increase the risk of suicidal behaviour. When these behaviours negatively impact a person’s mental health and wellbeing, therapeutic intervention is required.
The ADF invites you to join us for the Inaugural International Moral Injury and Wellbeing Conference.
Save the date and get ready for what will be an internationally groundbreaking event.
Hear from leading International and National experts, regarding the latest research, treatment and wellbeing modalities, and lived experiences regarding MI.
Discover the science behind MI, recovery, wellbeing and resiliency.
This conference is an ideal professional learning experience for medical, nursing, emergency workers and first responders, psychologists, social workers, chaplaincy, academics and researchers, and other associated professions.
Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of a conference that provides the most current understanding of MI research and practice in the context of holistic mental health and wellbeing to help create a future where those impacted by MI will receive quality care, treatment and support.
